Course and competition update

As you are probably aware the greenkeepers are currently working on the drainage on the 17th green and we have been playing it on a temp. Due to golf balls continuously ending on the 17th green and to ensure health and safety of the green keeping staff the temp has been moved to the practice area at the side of the 10th tee (the area usually used for practice and pre round warm up).

What does this mean for your round?

After consultation with SCT and the fact they are non-qualifying rounds, this weekend’s golf Saturday Feb Medal (4th) and Winter League (5th) will be played as follows.

1) Players must NOT practice on the practice area before the round
2) Players will play holes 1 to 9 as normal
3) You will then play the practice hole NEXT TO 10TH TEE (mark that score on your card as the 17th hole).
4) You must play the temp/practice hole and then walk back to the 10th tee to hit your next shot. Failure to follow this will result in DISQUALIFICATION
5) Play holes 10 to 16 as normal then walk to the 18th tee to complete your round

IMPORTANT - Please check with Chris Bethal in the Pro Shop prior to commencing your round to ensure the temp has not been put back to the 17th by the start of play on each day.

Thanks
John Shemeld
