Birley Wood Golf Club is a small friendly golf club that was founded in 1974, Golf Club membership starts from £15 for a junior, £25 for a Veteran Member and £55 to be a Adult Member. You can then either Pay and Play or join the Sheffield City Trust Membership Scheme, details can be found at:

Birley Wood Golf Club have a history of encouraging juniors to progress to their full potential and 2 notable previous Juniors are Danny Willett 2016 Masters Champion and member of The European Tour and Joe Dean member of The Challenge Tour

The golf course is located in South of Sheffield. Birley Wood Golf Course is an idyllic, stress-free yet challenging golf course that is ideal for golfers of all levels. Beginners and young players will enjoy the ups and downs of Birley Wood Golf Course that can enhance their overall game. Experienced players will relish in the charming putting surfaces and exceptional short game of the Fairways Course.

Birley Wood Golf Course is a friendly and welcoming course with well varied features and makes for a very relaxed and uncompromising golf experience.

Based on a plateau at the top of one of Sheffield’s seven hills, the course benefits from an excellent drainage system ensuring that even during bad spells of weather the course still plays well and is still open when others are closed. Players can enjoy the highest of year round standards on well kept greens and well-drained fairways.

Birley Wood Golf Course is managed by Sheffield International Venues Ltd (SIV) which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sheffield City Trust (SCT).
